About

Terms of use

Djeli publishes information about African stock markets, free to read. Using the site means accepting these terms. Last updated 30 September 2026.

Information, not advice

Everything on Djeli is published for information only. Nothing on it is investment, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Djeli is not a broker, a dealer or an adviser. Decide for yourself, and check with a licensed professional where it matters.

Where the data comes from, and its limits

Prices and company events come from the exchanges' own publications and from market-data services, collected automatically. They are end-of-day or delayed, never live, and some listings carry an older price. Dollar figures use reference exchange rates, which can differ from the rate you would actually get.

Any figure can be wrong, late or missing. Check anything you act on with the exchange, the company or your broker. The methodology names each source and its limits, and data coverage shows what is missing, market by market.

No warranty

Djeli is provided as it is, with no promise that it is accurate, complete, up to date or available. As far as the law allows, Djeli and its publisher are not responsible for losses that come from using the site or relying on what it says.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights that Québec's consumer protection law gives you and that cannot be waived.

No trading through Djeli

Djeli does not execute trades and has no trading feature: its on-chain app was removed on 30 September 2026, and nothing can be bought or sold through the site. The guide How to buy describes routes that exist elsewhere, and Djeli is not paid by any of them.

Wallet sign-in

Signing in with a wallet is optional. It only saves your watchlist and portfolio so they follow you between devices. You are responsible for your wallet and its keys. Djeli will never ask for your recovery phrase or private key; anyone who does is not Djeli. The privacy policy says what signing in stores.

The Marché Mamou card

On its Canadian-dollar exchange-rate pages, Djeli shows one card for Marché Mamou, Montréal's online African grocery, headed “From the team behind Djeli”. Djeli and Marché Mamou have the same owner. The card is the only promotion on the site, and its link is marked as sponsored.

Other sites

  • Djeli links to exchanges, regulators, companies and other services. What they publish, and their terms, are their own.
  • Company names, tickers and logos belong to their owners and are shown to identify them.

Changes, law and contact

These terms can change. The date at the top shows the current version, and using the site after a change means accepting it. They are governed by the laws in force in Québec, Canada.
