The rate above is the mid-market rate: the midpoint between the prices at which banks buy and sell each currency. No transfer service pays it exactly. Each takes a margin on the rate, and many add a fee on top.
So compare services by what arrives, not by the fee: how many cedis the recipient gets for the same number of dollars. A transfer advertised as free usually makes its money on the rate.
For example, 200 CAD at the reference rate is 1,645 GHS. A service offering 1,595 GHS for the same 200 dollars is keeping about 3% of it.
